In San Francisco it feels like if you aren't feeling one bar, you probably aren't feeling the entire neighborhood. This is complicated by the fact that cabbing from one neighborhood to the next is not so cheap or easy. Seattle was much simpler in that neighborhoods were closer, cabs more available, and bar offerings per neighborhood more diverse. Maybe the inability to find 'my type of bar' is symptomatic of still feeling new to SF. Maybe I need to check out more bars.
So guess I'll be doing a bit of research to make sure I've got an arsenal of bars in my back pocket so I'm prepared next time friends visit...suggestions anyone?
